Route 66 Inn

This is the best you are ever going to get for the price. Is more than acceptable for a one night stay. The room felt fresh and clean with plenty of space. The owner was kind and keeping an eye around the property. This will likely be our go to when making a long drive with a rest stop in Amarillo. You can hear road noise from the room but it wasn't anything we couldn't handle.

Our room was spotless and comfy. Owner was professional and we had a great Route 66 experience.

We will definitely be back whenever we make our long road trip! This motel is very clean, very comfortable, and the AC is nice and cold. The management is extremely professional, courteous, and accommodating. We had surprise car trouble the morning we needed to depart, and the staff was so kind and helpful in accommodating us staying longer. Truly nice and understanding people. We definitely recommend this place. Thank you!

I'm really bad at planning so normally I pay super high prices for Hotels. But thankfully Route 66 Inn has a great owner who made sure I got a reasonable price and was kind enough to wakeup when I arrived at 3am so he could set me up. He takes security very seriously and has over a dozen cameras watching his facility to insure safety for his guests and property. I know the area and the people on the street can make this look sketchy but I promise you, you'll sleep safe here and your car will be fine. The rooms themselves were MUCH nicer than I expected and the beds are very warm and comfortable. You have a reoccurring customer! Also, your wife (the cleaning lady was just outside in the room over) and offered to take my card since the office was locked.

A nice little hotel with outside entrances. It was very quiet and peaceful here. The room was clean and modern, with an appealing scheme and decor. Bonus for a mini fridge too. We slept great here. I'd stay here again and recommend this place. Just a heads up though, watch the speedbump out front. We bottomed out hard in a standard car just creeping over it as slowly as we could.

we stayed here once this summer, and we had a wonderful stay. this time, it was not as enjoyable but still good for the price. service can be hit or miss, either very efficient and welcoming or very apathetic and trying to rush me out the door so they themselves can leave. they also charged me slightly more than my booking stated and didn’t explain why. it’s on the older side of Amarillo and the restaurants nearby, especially later at night, are limited. but it makes it very easy to get in and out of town, especially heading north. our room was very cold when we arrived and we had to crank the heater for most of the night to get it to a comfortable temperature. and this is very minor, but our room last time had bedside lamps and our room this time did not have any additional lighting besides the main overhead light, which i thought was odd. probably would stay again but may look at other options in the meantime.

This motel was suggested to us by a coworker. We stayed here two different nights while traveling to and from Dallas. Overall the rooms were incredibly clean; the first room we stayed in was on the smaller side so it was hard to fit our pack in play for the baby. But the second was much larger and easily fit. The heat worked well, it had an in room coffee maker and refrigerator which was nice. Friendly service, accommodating, will return in the future.

Definitely the best motel on the boulevard! The price is right. I've been staying here for years whenever I'm working at Pantex, and the lovely people who run the place treat me like family.
